Inauguration

Like I said, this post will be slightly off topic. I can't believe I'm blogging about politics, but here goes. I can't say I remember too much of the Bush inaugurations (or maybe I just didn't care) but a lot of the stuff today seemed anti-climatic. I remember all the excitement on election night. I left work around midnight and people were spilling out of their dorms and making their way down Huntington Ave, many winding up in the reflecting pool. Today seems to promise good times ahead for our country. In a way, its similar to athletics at Northeastern. We've got "Now is the Time," for Obama, it's 'Yes we Can." Both slogans offer hope for change and exciting times ahead. And yes, I realize this is a terrible comparison, but its hard for me not to compare something to sports.


Well here ends my foray into politics.... I promise I won't go all Greg Easterbrook on you. I'll stop and let Obama get hard to work on getting ride of the BCS for good.
