I haven't posted in a few days, but here's a few notes on Husky sports.
Nice story about the hockey team on ESPN.com here. Thanks to Keith Lavon for pointing this out.
The men's basketball team had a nice win last night over undefeated George Mason, placing two teams in a tie for first place in the CAA along with VCU. Here's a link to the game story in today's Huntington News. I caught the first half, but unfortunately had to duck out in order to get back to production night at the paper.
The Huskies held off a late Mason charge, but the game was in the back of many people's minds after Patriot guard John Vaughan went down with what is now known to be a concussion. It was a scary moment at the game, as played stopped for almost 25 minutes after Vaughan passed out on the court. He was carried off the court on a stretcher. Here's an update from the Washington Post.
I'm hoping to get an RSS feed set up to get the latest news from Northeastern sports, but until this, these links will have to do.
