Greetings from the Sean McDonough (Edit. Make that Will McDonough) press room at the TD Banknorth Garden. After two periods, Harvard and BU are engaged in a surprisingly entertaining game. Harvard took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission and ended the first period with a 5-on-3 advantage. The Crimson cashed in 1:04 into the second, making it 2-0. But BU scored an even strength goal later and after killing of three penalties, Harvard couldn't hold the top power play team in the country scoreless on the fourth, making it 2-2.
The ranking are out today, and BU slides up to No. 1 in the country, while NU remains at third and BC at no. 12 (Edit: BC was no. 11). Full rankings here.
NU is without a doubt the team under the microscope this season. Virtually every college hockey page has something about NU in the Beanpot on there front page, including USCHO.com.
Line charts for NU-BC coming up.
